The American dream lives on, with Barack Obama! His election as U.S. president is a historic step in the right direction. In the direction of tolerance, international understanding, away from greed and racism and more and more understanding between the people of this world. The election has shown that the American people are fed up with mismanagement, wars between people and finally want to live the dream of its founding fathers. It must be the highest of all goals, not to distinguish people by race, origin or religion but to accept them as people - that is what unites us all: We are human beings. With Obama should live our naive hope for a better future. Even though we all know that before Obama is a steep path, I feel but deep in the heart of the humility and the honesty of Obama - at least I believe and hope this America and the world deserve.
And McCain? Well, McCain has earned huge respect because he has done more for his country he loves so much like Obama, when many of us can imagine. He is a man of honor and he has also shown when he said Obama would also be president and we must work together for America. That is what this country needs. That is what millions of Americans without health insurance need. That is what the world needs with global problems. Only in this way America can again become a welcome partner in the world. This is exactly what it needs this change.
It can only hope that at least some of these resolutions can be implemented and that the Americans are not now in a big hole of disillusionment. For must not forget that even Obama can spend any miracles - although I hope with all my heart that ...
