Our hike over Col de Grande Dixence Riedmatten to Arolla. 6 hours, up 850m, down 730m, abbreviation possibility: use cable car to the dam.
Le Chargeur 2141 m - cable car or steeply up to the dam 2365 m - in part by lighting the tunnel Ebenau the Lac de Dix along the Pas du Chat 2372 m.
At the other end of the reservoir, just before the bridge, follow the signs for "Col de Riedmatten" and "Cabane des Dix" (new guidance). Split by about ten 10 minutes walking time to the paths. At this junction is again a sign that signals the two directions. If you go towards "Col de Riedmatten" Next, you find yourself eventually back to the previous track.
Now the path is a little uncomfortable about Ravines and debris, and then very steeply up to the Col de Riedmatten 2919 m (1.40 h from the dam end).

The variant over the slightly lower Pas de chèvre (2855 m), entrance about 150 m and is next to the Col de Riedmatten, only vertigo
